Glasshouse
On the land of the night fairies where the sun never shines, the plants grow in the glasshouse. Lightning bugs take care of them and provide enough light to grow. Green Giggle, the naughty cat, loves to chase them to the meadow. The night fairies have to rescue the confused little bugs and bring them back to the safe glasshouse in their lanterns, hoping that Green Giggle does not cause more trouble during the journey.

Glasshouse On the land of the night fairies where the sun never shines, the plants grow in the glasshouse. Lightning bugs take care of them and provide enough light to grow. Green Giggle, the naughty cat, loves to chase them to the meadow. The night fairies have to rescue the confused little bugs and bring them back to the safe glasshouse in their lanterns, hoping that Green Giggle does not cause more trouble during the journey. Co-operative game (with competitive version) Age: 4+ • Time: 15 minutes • Players: 2-4 Contents: 1 game board, 1 spinning wheel, 4 night fairies, 4 lanterns, 1 Green Giggle, 1 glasshouse, 12 lightning bugs The goal of the game: return all the lightning bugs from the meadow to the glasshouse before Green Giggle brakes all the 4 lanterns. Setting up the game: Put the game board in the centre of the playing area and place all the lightning bugs in the middle of the board, on the meadow! Set up the glasshouse and place it on the top of the game board next to the yellow light spot. Put Green Giggle on the field with blue pawn print on! Each player chooses a night fairy character and a matching coloured lantern with it. Place the fairies on the yellow spot next to the glasshouse and keep the lantern in front of yourselves with the unbroken side up. If there are less than four players, put the remaining characters back in the box but keep the lanterns and place them next to the board (fig.1)! How to play: Decide which player goes first; then take turns in clockwise order. When it comes to your turn, spin the wheel, complete the action required! If the arrow stops on… • Footprints: Move your character in the clockwise direction to the next square which matches the colour of the segment on the wheel. More than one fairy can be on a square at any time. • Lightning bug: Move your character to the next square which matches the colour of the segment on the wheel AND take one bug from the meadow and put it into your lantern! • Green Giggle: move the cat to the next pawn-marked field in the counterclockwise direction. Lightning bugs Maximum of 3 lightning bugs are allowed in a fairy’s lantern (fig.2). When a fairy passes the entrance of the glasshouse s/he can take the lightning bugs out of her/his lantern and put them into the glasshouse. It’s not necessary to stop s/he can step forward according to the spinner. Meet Green Giggle, the naughty cat Whenever a fairy meets Green Giggle having lightning bugs in her/his lantern: 1. The fairy has to return all the bugs from his/her lantern to the meadow. 2. AND at the first meeting s/he also has to flip her/his lantern to the other side. It remains broken until the end of the game. The fairies can collect bugs in the broken lantern! Important: If there are less than four players s/he has to flip one of those lamps first which is not owned by a fairy (fig.1). S/he has to flip her/ his own lantern at the second meeting. If a fairy meets Green Giggle without having lightning bugs in her/his lantern, the cat will not break her/his lantern! If Green Giggle lands on a square, where more fairies are standing, the rule applies to all fairies! You are not allowed to have a bug on a square where Green Giggle’s figure stands even if the spinning arrow says so. The end of the game: If all the lightning bugs are back to the glasshouse before Green Giggle breaks all the 4 lanterns - you all win! If Green Giggle breaks all the 4 lanterns before you could return all the bugs to the glasshouse - the cat wins. • • • Competitive version according to the original rules with the following changes: The fairies have to collect as many lightning bugs on their own as they can! When a fairy passes the entrance of the glasshouse s/he can take the lightning bugs out of her/ his lantern and put them in front of her/him instead of returning them to the Glasshouse! If a fairy meets Green Giggle only those bugs are in danger which is in the lantern. The game ends as soon as all the lightning bugs are rescued from the meadow and all the fairies return to the glasshouse before Green Giggle breaks all their lanterns. The fairy who has the most lightning bugs is the winner. (The players pile up their lightning bug discs. The player with the highest pile wins the game.)
